In depth

Verdict

Inasus will not be much of a price but he should prove too strong for his chief rivals here Modern Verse and Patavian. The selection shaped with plenty of promise on his debut when he finished fourth behind Mesbaah at Beverley over an inadequate trip and if if he can improve for his first run on a racecourse we think he will take the world of beating. Modern Verse was a respectable third behind Weekend Fling at Catterick last time and he looks the type that will be suited by this extra distance so he is not without hope. Patavian has offered some encouragement but he will need to step-up on what he showed at Musselburgh last time if he is to make the frame. Asrar is the only newcomer in the field so could be worth a look in the market, but we will stick with Inasus who stands out as the one to beat.
