Verdict

JOBE has his quirks but is talented enough to account for this opposition; likely dangers include Able Master and Agente Parmigiano. The selection has the highest official rating in this field having been highly tried since winning his maiden and this is his first run outside Pattern company since that win at Ayr. He ran a fine race at Ascot on his latest outing and should take all the beating. Able Master could struggle to give weight away but ran well enough in a Sandown handicap where he looked ready for this sixth furlong. Agente Parmigiano drops back two furlongs to a more suitable trip and could make his presence felt as may Dunes Queen who was no match for Fantasia on her return but may benefit from a return to sprinting. Jobe has hung on more than one occasion and been tried in a tongue tie but he did nothing wrong on his return and is presented with a gilt edged opportunity.
