In depth

Verdict

In the fillies' handicap, Passion Fruit is a tentative choice ahead of Tour d'Amour and Fortress. Passion Fruit is four pounds above a winning mark but at least comes here fit following a pipe-opener so cannot be ruled out. Psychic Star still has it to prove from her mark, while Vanilla Delight also has it to prove based on what she has so far shown. Tour d'Amour comes here fit and well and holds claims based on her best Turf efforts of last summer, and she is eleven pounds better off for five and three quarter lengths based on last summer's Carlisle seven-furlong form with Vanilla Delight. Flylowflylong could be given a chance based on her best pieces of form, but that comment has applied for a few runs now, while Fortress is back to the mark from which she won at Carlisle last season, so has to be given some thought. With Beautiful Summer having a few pounds to find before she could be nominated for win purposes, we return to the selection, which is Passion Fruit.
