Verdict

Early Shirley hails from last year's winning yard and Legal Bond is related to a host of winning sprinters. Both should be monitored in the betting on their debuts but it could pay to stick with the more experienced GOWANHARRY. The latter improved to finish second in soft ground at Thirsk on last month's return to action and there should be more to come from Michael Dods' filly here. Julier Pass also posted a better effort when fourth at Wolverhampton last time and he may have a fitness advantage over December's Southwell second Great Nicanor.
