    In depth

    Verdict

LOMU made a winning start at Musselburgh and is penalised 7lb. But he should make another bold bid in this company with normal progress given he beat the re-opposing Kahrab over six lengths. The latter can finish closer today but Rapid Rise was a long way behind the winner despite finishing third at Leicester on his debut. Tagur and Whiteandgold made only modest starts on their respective introductions and the newcomer Chickenfortea makes little appeal.
