Verdict

A couple of ex-Irish horses may end up fighting this one out. Its Only Mossy joined Jennie Candish this year and bids for a hat-trick under a penalty on the back of a couple of wins at Wolverhampton. But Ruth Carr’s new addition, CHAPLIN BAY (NAP), was beaten only a length at Thirsk on his reappearance and he gets the vote to go one better. New Lease Of Life scored over course and distance off today’s mark last term and has been thereabouts in both starts so far this year but A Lovable Rogue remains 6lb higher than his win here in August.
