In depth

Verdict

MOBUS WAN, Shekan Star and Siberian Sunset all make limited appeal in the finale, and the importance of the jockey in this sort of contest can't be understated. Mobus Wan is the top rated and has a first time tongue strap, for what's his debut here, having had one run at Naas after a career previously exclusively in France. Alan Swinbank does well in this sort of race, although Siberian Sunset hasn't been much to write home about in three maidens to date. Shekan Star won a similar race three runs back over a slightly shorter distance, although she is the only runner here to have won over this trip. Some of these have been jumping during the winter and there's not a great deal of decent form around. The market may give us some clues, but tentatively we'll side with Mobus Wan.
