In depth

Verdict

Mark Johnston does not have great success with his juveniles first time out but has introduced some decent ones here in the past and Hinton Admiral looks a likely type on pedigree so gets the vote ahead of Prix Masque and Ocean of Champagne. The last mentioned showed some promise on her Redcar debut last month but may want a softer surface to show her best form so may be best watched. Howards Tipple stepped up on his debut effort at Ayr last time but is another that may want more cut in the ground, while Wait Watcher is bred for stamina and is likely to better over further next season. Prix Masque is entitled to come on for his Haydock debut and is another to consider but Hinton Admiral would not need to be out of the ordinary to make a winning debut and is taken to do just that.
