Verdict

Call To Mind comes out best at the weights having been raised 14lb for his sixth to Permian at Ascot last month when ahead of Frankuus. He’s sure to go close if running up to that mark but DEFOE is also on the upgrade. He’s won a couple of valuable handicaps so far this year and was not unduly tested when scoring at York on his latest start. Well beaten in the Queen’s Vase at Ascot, Fierce Impact was runner-up in Listed company at Goodwood before that, while Twin Star debuts for Andrew Balding having ran well in a Group 3 at the Curragh back in May and this is easier than his latest task at Ascot. Monticello and Euro Nightmare look up against it on these terms.
