Verdict

COCONUT ICE is the call ahead of Sophie's Hero and Heartbreak. Tom Dascombe's filly ran well above herself in the Lily Agnes Stakes and that could well have ramifications as far as handicapping is concerned. Physically, she looks the type who may have appreciated a couple of months off to mature and Ross Atkinson's 5lb off will prove a big help. Kevin Ryan's juveniles have been in better form of late. Nevertheless, Sophie's Hero's fourth at Carlisle last week has to be considered a disappointment. Heartbreak was a relatively cheap purchase though the dam line has plenty of early fizz about it. Mr Shifter has been well held in two starts thus far whilst Roodee Queen seemed to appreciate a step up to six furlongs though having had eight races already - she wouldn't be the most open to progression. Coconut Ice seems to have been found a decent opportunity to open her account.
