Verdict

Another trappy sprint handicap in which luck in running will play a part but APRICOT SKY represents a yard which excels with sprinters, has gone close the last twice and has ground conditions to suit. His recent second to Pipers Note was boosted when the latter landed a decent sprint at Ripon this week and he should prove competitive off an unchanged mark of 76. Another course and distance scorer, Orient Class, has been in fine form on recent starts and can prove competitive upped in class. Mick Easterby and Nathan Evans have become a dangerous team to ignore in sprint handicaps and Bosham has to be of interest after a winning return to form at Beverley this month, whilst the likes of Equally Fast, Straightothepoint, Masamah and recent winner Invincible Ridge can all have a case constructed for them, Ladweb would also come into contention should the ground soften appreciably.
