In depth

Verdict

Front-running One Putra could steal this race from the clutches of Peace Offering and Chookie Heiton. This race represents a drop in class for One Putra and while he could not utilise his front-running role at Newmarket in top grade; this appears to be a much more feasible option on Saturday. Peace Offering should have stripped fitter for a run at Naas last month. The official BHB figures suggest that he still has a few pounds to find. Chookie Heiton won a listed sprint at Beverley over five furlongs last year. The veteran is taking his first bow this term so may be best left alone today. Jonny Ebeneezer makes his first run for a new trainer since the disqualification of David Flood. Bahamian Pirate appears to need softer ground. One Putra possesses plenty of speed and plenty of class and at the likely odds, he has to be a big player.
