Verdict

A competitive opener featuring three recent winners, all of whom can have an encouraging case made for their chance. HIGHWAYGREY is progressing with racing and produced an excellent performance to score over course and distance last month after totally blowing the start. He just gets the nod though Earl Of Harrow, who stuck to the task gamely when securing a first success on his latest outing over this trip, looks a big threat. Twenty Years On improved on previous efforts to oblige at Salisbury while Smeaton looks progressive and is expected to be in the mix.
