This ground might come as a shock to a few of these juveniles who have only faced quick ground so far and having tackled it last time a chance is taken on LADY PLATINUM CLUB improving and seeing off Fantasy Fry, Belle Royale and Arctic Mirage in the process. Geoff Oldroyd's filly looks fairly treated on the pick of her early season form (solid fifth behind Primo Lady in Listed company at York) and she wasn't disgraced over course and distance a week ago. There are hints in her pedigree that this ground will be ok and she looks worth chancing at rewarding odds. C P Joe needs to improve for a visor but he needs a market check on his nursery bow, Peters Spirit looks nicely-weighted on his Newcastle form but his effort here since was lacklustre, whilst Fantasy Fry has been running well on downhill tracks but this is a different kettle of fish on very different ground. The blinkers are back on No Poppy as she tackles soft ground for the first time and she needs a market check, Belle Royale is consistent and she is a proven performer on this ground so she rates the main danger, whilst Arctic Mirage is progressive and his Capaill Liath Windsor form reads well. A subsequent win at Chepstow on holding ground means that he is another big danger this evening with the track likely to play to his strengths. An interesting contest then where we will chance Lady Platinum Club.
