    Verdict

SANDGATE looks the one most likely to run his race. A winner over track and trip last month, he ran well again at Ayr off today's mark last time. Rock Lobster and Cape Spirit have something to prove given their previous modest efforts over today's longer trip while though Vicky Valentine has been thereabouts of late, she drops back in distance here. Thames Knight and Duke Of Yorkshire were both well beaten despite placing on their respective latest starts while Anneani steps up in class after finishing third at Redcar.
