Verdict

Having endured a four-year barren spell, MERCHANT OF MEDICI is now enjoying something of a purple patch and bids for hat-trick of course wins. He won an amateurs' race here a fortnight ago by over four lengths and today's rider Jack Garrity won last year's renewal on Nolecce. The latter also arrives in good form and looks set to make another bold bid while Dancing Primo and Nellies Quest both arrive on the back of wins in lower grade handicaps. Frosty The Snowman has been thereabouts of late without winning.
