        Verdict

        Richard Fahey sent out last year's winner so Star Of The Stage may well figure having gone close on the all-weather in February. But MCCREERY made a winning start at Newbury in September when beating three subsequent winners and it's Roger Charlton's colt that gets the nod on the strength of that form. Sakhee's Return is not out of this on his recent placed efforts in better company while Wiener Valkyrie looks a likely improver with last month's pipe-opener at Doncaster under his belt and is preferred to Captain Revelation.
