Verdict

All six runners have claims on this handicap but we make marginal preference for CITIZENSHIP, though Monetary Fund good be really well handicapped while at the other end of the scale Lethal Gaze looks to be conceding too much weight. Ian Williams has his string in good form at the moment and the selection can add to that success despite remaining four pounds above his highest winning mark. His run in defeat last time off this rating offers plenty of encouragement as he beat home dual subsequent winner Alanbrooke that day and another run like that here should suffice. Monetary Fund makes a handicap debut here off a make off 73 and based on some of his maiden runs that could be on the light side. On bare form it could be argued that Lethal Gaze is ahead of our selection but on these terms the pendulum has definitely swung the other way while Sounds Of Jupiter might now be racing under a more realistic burden. Plenty of ifs and buts about most of these but there is less doubt around Citizenship.
