Verdict

SPLIT SECOND undoubtedly came up against something special when beaten eight lengths by Quite A Thing at Lingfield and was clear of the remainder. She can put her experience to good use here. Excelette showed good pace on her debut at Ripon and will be better for the run while anything Mick Easterby saddles at present is worth a look and Rhianna Brianna isn't out of this. Newcomers The Rising, a son of Pivotal, and the speedily-bred West Leake Diman, make this an interesting opener.
