In depth

Verdict

Cape Trafalgar can defy top weight in this nursery. Jamie Osborne's filly has a solid level of form in the context of this race, having won at Goodwood over six before finishing third at Leicester over five next time. She's a worthy top weight in this and loves firm ground so should go well. Bella Boy Zee has proven tough, winning three of her eight races, but has mainly competed at a low level. Tregarron is closely related to very good sprinter but has made little show in three starts. The market might prove the best guide to his chances. Gemini Girl put up her best effort when running third at Musselburgh last time, similar comments applying to Tamesis, although more improvement will be needed from both. Lavish Times came good in a Musselburgh seller last time and, again, more is required. Not a high-class affair by any stretch of the imagination, but Cape Trafalgar should give you a run for your money and gets the vote.
