Nevada Red can be forgiven a poor run last time and is put forwards to run for us. This test should also suit Tomillielou and Phareight Dei. Only two of the ten runners finished the race at Ayr that the selection contested last time and Nevada Red never seemed to be enjoying himself having received reminders after the first. That lack of enthusiasm has to be a concern but this sort of test should be down his street and he's given another chance. Tomillielou also has to put a lacklustre run behind him but is another who should be involved in the finish if back to his best, although he still has to conclusively prove his stamina for this trip. Phareight Dei has won twice over fences but hasn't made the frame in any of his other eight starts; he could feature if he's on a going day. Sea Cadet may feasibly find a little improvement for his first attempt at this longer trip but we'll side with the proven stamina of Nevada Red in an open race.
