Nunki should have improved for his debut and is the call over Mouftari and Always Waining, with Mungo Jerry likely to shape well. Nunki was fancied on his debut at Leicester last month but in the end finished a creditable third behind the favourite Bayhirr. He was prominent for some time though and the experience will not be lost. The fact that Nunki has already been gelded suggests that he is not held in high esteem at Warren Place, but he should go close here at least. Always Waining was third over nine furlongs on his Ripon bow and should appreciate the step up in trip, while Mouftari has that little bit of experience and will be popular as well. James Given saddles two runners, the best of whom may be Mungo Jerry. He improved markedly when third to hotpot Destination Dubai here on his seasonal reappearance three weeks ago and may be good for a place again. Many in with chances here then, and only a tentative vote goes to Nunki.
