A few old favourites are facing the starter in this but the younger brigade, CORINTHIAN and Vivre Pour Vivre, shouldn't be ignored. The former is lightly-raced and still exhibited signs of greenness when just beaten by the useful Scarlet Dragon at Newbury in June. His style of racing suggests he should stay the extra here and blinkers are applied to help him concentrate. Mijhaar couldn't quite get past Impulsive American at Ayr but this drop in distance is a worry, though Faithful Mount should ensure a good gallop. Swaheen has each-way claims but Chocala and Buonarroti have climbed the weights. Gabrial's King is a thorough stayer but Hamilton winner Multellie tries a new trip and was beaten by Buonarroti over 1m5f at Ayr in July.
