Chatez won the Spring Mile at Newbury on his reappearance and is a previous course and distance winner. Mordin ended last season with a second in the Cambridgeshire and won first-time up last year. Knighted won four times last year and has had a pipe-opener while Borderforce has claims on his defeat of Gurkha Friend at Ripon last August. LEDHAM is still seeking a first victory on Turf but did run well at Sandown in August. Sir Michael Stoute’s four-year-old has only had six career starts so it will be disappointing if there is not more to come and he starts the new campaign at the right end of the handicap. Just Hiss won a competitive handicap at York in October but might need this.
