Verdict

Can Can Star is selected here ahead of Grethel and Sienna Storm. Can Can Star has been knocking at the door of late, his mark seems fair and, also, he has shown that he can act when there is juice in the ground, so he has to be considered. Old Romney has improved of late and gets a solid shout, although he has yet to race on soft going, and Grethel comes here in good form and, following a good second on good to soft at Ayr last time, the step up to 10 furlongs today could see her go well. A falling mark could see Sienna Storm more competitive today in what is a modest event, but with Tufton lacking soft-ground form, and Brastar Jelois's improved Turf effort last time having come in a seller, we return to the selection, which is Can Can Star.
