Verdict

Just for a change, a competitive finale (he said with mock irony), in which we will short list Rudry World, The Flying Cowboy and Distiller, with the selection being Rudry World. Rudry World comes here in good heart and still looked to be on the up when winning at Hamilton last time. An eight-pounds rise for that may not stop him from running well again. Fossgate is weighted to win again based on last August's winning form and comes here with his mark dropping, while Distiller has got his act together of late and, judged on his latest effort at Chester, the step up to today's trip could elicit further improvement. The Flying Cowboy improved for the step up to 10 furlongs last time when winning well and a six-pounds rise for him does not looked overly punishing. It was around this time last year that Mae Cigan gained a course success and, racing from four pounds below that mark today, he is not ruled out of a good run. For the selection, though, we return to Rudry World.
