Verdict

Eborarry deserves to get his head in front having been running consistently well of late but Tim Easterby's gelding has been beaten off the same mark as he races off today in two starts since winning at Catterick in February so he may have to settle for a place at best behind CITY AFFAIR, who gets the vote ahead of Trafalgar Man. Micky Hammond's gelding has gone up 6lbs for his narrow defeat of Fred Bojangals over course and distance last month which seems a shade harsh but he is still well treated in comparison to his hurdles mark so cannot be discounted. Peter Monteith's Jordan's Light has disappointed in both starts over fences so far and is hard to recommend on that evidence so a bigger threat is likely to come form Hollows Mill, who has won races at Kelso and Perth in his last two starts and has every chance of completing the hat-trick if he can defy the 3lb rise for his latest success. Marginal preference though is just for Tim Vaughan's City Affair, who has shown improved form in points and hunter chases of late and he returns to rules racing off what seems a fair mark.
