This is really a race for students of point-to-point form and what can only be a tentative vote goes to Tinarana Lord, who is preferred to Benbeoch and Natiain. The last two mentioned both come into this in good form from between the flags but as six-year-olds may struggle to stay this far over regulation fences and Tinarana Lord looks a safer option. The selection was formerly trained in Ireland but has been running well in points in this country of late and the eight-year-old represents shrewd connections who should know what is required to land this. Buddy Girie and Briery Hill have more experience than most, but not of these fences, while Mrs Sherman was no great shakes when last seen under rules but looks to have improved following a spell pointing. Highland Brig probably needs to improve on the evidence of recent hunter chase form and of more interest may be Wilfie Wild, who is another that has been equipping himself well between the flags of late. Mays Delight and Sea Knight are others to consider but the vote goes to Tinarana Lord, who is taken to fulfill the promise shown of late.
