Verdict

A tricky race to conclude the card and one where CARRIG AN UISCE is given the vote ahead of Rebel Dancer and Mega Watt. The selection has gone up 10lbs for a very convincing Hereford win over a similar trip last time. Cut in the ground suits the nine-year-old, though there is a note of caution in that he has been beaten from similar marks to this in the past. Rebel Dancer loves some cut in the ground and has taken a while to get going over hurdles. Even so, he looks to be going the right way now and with the stable continuing in good form he can't be ruled out. Mon Michel looks well handicapped on his old form, if able to reproduce it on ground that suits, while Mega Watt is interesting first time up in a handicap from a reasonable mark and should be checked out in the market. Course and distance winner Crosby Jemma has claims but would prefer the ground to dry out, while Three Ships might just have a few pounds too many to shoulder, but does act with juice underfoot. Another race that is not for the faint-hearted and Carrig An Uisce is just given the vote.
