In depth

Verdict

Cross Kennon was in the process of running another good race when brought down behind Lush Life at Cheltenham. The top weight is a credit to connections and has stamina in abundance so has to be of interest again here. Salpierre completed his hat-trick at Hereford with the minimum of fuss but has been raised a further 12lb for his trouble, while Arctic Court has more do than when scoring at Ayr. I've Been Framed is at the top of his game, however, and has a terrific record at this track. Neil King's charge may well pose the biggest threat to STOW. Venetia Williams' charge was a decent juvenile hurdler but has come into his own over longer trips this season and though no match for Universal Soldier at Chepstow earlier this month has nothing to fear from Sullomo or Vagrant Emperor on that run - he will relish the extra here.
