Verdict

Saafend Rocket is respected having made a winning debut for a new yard but preference is for DEAD OR ALIVE whilst Sebastiano and Kikos are also sure to have their supporters. Dead Or Alive represents a respected partnership and has been well backed since arriving from Ireland. He failed to justify the support at Chepstow but those supporters that kept the faith received their dividend when he got up by a neck at Plumpton. A 9lb rise seems a little harsh on the face of it but the pair did finish a long way clear and he looks capable of going in again. Saafend Rocket has been given plenty of time since his win at Fakenham which was his first start since August 2007. That may enable him to avoid the bounce factor but he also has to overcome an 8lb rise in the weights although he has raced from higher marks in the past. Sebastiano has yet to get his head in front over fences but he's made the frame on a number of occasions and has claims of doing so again. He could face competition for the minors from Kikos whose sole success came over course and distance. Caliban is worth a check with the yard in blistering form but we'll take Dead Or Alive.
