Verdict

Everaard got off the mark over hurdles at Musselburgh in January but a 13lb rise in the weights looks a bit harsh and Golfer's Crossing makes more appeal. The latter travelled well for a long way when fourth to the progressive Ballabriggs at Ayr last time with today's rival Moufatango well behind and better is expected here. However, the vote goes to KINGS GUARD. He won over 2m4f before finding Circus Clown too good over a shorter trip at Ayr three weeks ago. The latter boosted the form with a subsequent victory and this step up to a longer distance will suit Alistair Whillans charge.
