    Verdict

GARLETON is a hopeful selection to win this handicap chase following a very satisfactory return to action at Carlisle last month. Having been headed, he battled on tenaciously and while he failed to reel in the winner, it was a good effort first time out in five months. Rosie All Over was beaten a long way on her first two starts this season. She is well handicapped on the best of her form but she needs to step up considerably on those first two efforts. Jemez stayed on very well from an unpromising position at Aintree last time and given his lightly raced profile there should be more to come. He has the size and scope to make a chaser and that is where his future is. Freddie The Third was stepped up considerably in trip last time, that being from two to three miles. Connections obviously believe he gets the trip despite the fact he stopped very quickly last time. He did race keenly and if he relaxes that would offer him a better chance of seeing out the trip but Garleton is the selection.
