In depth

Verdict

Ben Haslam has two entered in this and both run in the familiar J P McManus silks. Scoop The Pot is a year younger than Ever So Much and probably has the stronger overall form but it’s too soon to give up on BLAZING PORT. Despite a couple of defeats in novice company at Hexham, he is racing over a more suitable trip today and there’s a good chance he will have strengthened up further over the winter. Leostar is eased in grade and distance and can’t be ignored but River Icon seems to have lost the plot.
