Verdict

KENTUCKY BOY has each-way claims in a tricky finale where Cassius and Glenary could be amongst the more popular selections. A useful stayer on the Flat, he is no mug over hurdles either but he hasn't proved to be the easiest to win with. This track may just play to his strengths though, he has his conditions, cheekpieces on for the first time and the assistance of Noel Fehily so now could be the time to side with him. Glenary hasn't been out since running poorly at Catterick but he has been progressing along the right lines prior to that and may have more in the locker so he has to be on the short-list. Quiqui De L'Isle is unexposed and worth a look in the market to check for signs of confidence but Cassius has more obvious claims following a couple of fair performances at Ayr. Primrose Time, Soul Angel and Polly Whitefoot are amongst others that make a modicum of appeal but everything appears to be in place for the selection to run a big race and it will just be a question as to whether Kentucky Boy is good enough.
