    Verdict

Ficoma gets the nod over Silka Key, with Emulate and Tinnarinka worth a mention at least. Ficoma put in a really pleasing performance when getting up to beat the hot favourite Reem Al Fallah on her debut at Bath three weeks ago. That outcome was not entirely unexpected by connections, as she is entered for a valuable sales race at Ascot later this year, and she now bids to put one over on yet another Mick Channon inmate in the shape of Silka Key. The latter tries a faster surface after her two outings on softish ground at Folkestone and Epsom. She did not get the best of luck in running last time when second to Spirit Of The Mist and should be placed to good effect soon. Emulate will come into her own when stepped up in trip, as she undoubtedly will be next year, while Tinnarinka holds entries in two big sales races including the same Ascot contest that the selection is pencilled in for. With the form in the book already, Ficoma should prove to be the answer here.
