    Verdict

Acrobatic gets the call in what looks the best race on the card, with Swan Queen, Changing Wind, Warsaw Pact and Fleeting Memory all worth a place in the line-up. This contest would not look out of place on one of the better Turf cards, and we can only assume that with question marks over suitable ground at present due to the recent rain, connections have decided to play safe and give their charges a run on the Polytrack. Acrobatic is just one leading contender as he can already boast back-to-back wins here, and such has been his improvement, that Roger Charlton's colt may well defy a 9lb penalty. Swan Queen had the measure of subsequent Group performer Summer's Eve at Folkestone in April, and proved that was no fluke when landing a competitive handicap at York three months ago. Not seen since, she has been saved for an autumn campaign and will be sharper for the run. Changing Wind duly made a winning debut here a fortnight ago and should just about get today's trip, while Fleeting Memory may have found conditions too fast at Windsor but remains open to some improvement. Warsaw Pact was surprisingly turned over at Wolverhampton on Wednesday, and it may well be that he will enjoy this shorter trip after being given a couple of sterner tests of late. Acrobatic has proven form round here already, and can prove the one to be on again.
