In depth

Verdict

Newby Lodge has solid claims if turning up given he was engaged to run at yesterday's meeting here. If absent then PROFESSOR JOHN makes plenty of appeal having gone close on the turf recently. He's yet to win on Polytrack, but placed efforts here off higher marks suggest he can put that right today. Prince Blue finally got off the mark at Lingfield last month and has been raised 3lb, while Appyjack has won over a mile here but disappointed before over longer distances. Miskin Diamond ran poorly at Chepstow last time having won at the same track before that.
