Verdict

California Lad went close at Salisbury last year but hasn't been seen at the track since disappointing in an Ascot maiden race back in July. DARING KNIGHT may have the edge on this occasion as he showed some improvement to finish fourth at Lingfield on his recent return to action and gets plenty of weight from the older horses Fire And Passion and Burcan. The former never threatened in a similar contest here last time but the latter is worth a second glance for the Noseda yard on his belated debut.
