      Verdict

Hope Your Safe is the pick ahead of Last Sovereign, with newcomers Hollywood George and Comrade Cotton worth a mention. Hope Your Safe could never land a blow when third at Lingfield last time, but that was only his second career outing, and the two that finished ahead of him were much more fancied on the day. This race will not take much winning, and although another furlong would not come amiss, he gets the vote. Last Sovereigns shaped with some promise on his debut here three weeks ago, only weakening in the closing stages, and connections will be confident of a big run as he has a furlong less to travel. He has the worst draw of all in stall one, but should should still make his presence felt. Neville Callaghan has booked Eddie Ahern for Comrade Cotton who, as the name suggests, is a full-brother to Colonel Cotton. Any support for him should be heeded, while Hollywood George is another for the future. Mo has by far the most experience, but is already starting to look exposed, so for the winner we return to Hope Your Safe.
