Verdict

Weekender has won twice over 1m6f this year and is preferred to stablemate Hameem, who has a bit to find on these terms. But the former finished behind runner-up Loxley in Listed company at Newmarket earlier and the Godolphin charge is fancied to confirm superiority fitted with headgear today. Pablo Escobarr may also improve on his second outing after wind surgery but a chance is taken Mark Johnston has MILDENBERGER at his best on his return from a lay-off. The latter faced a couple of tough tasks back in May when placed in Group 2 races behind Stradivarius at York and stablemate Communique at Newmarket before that but this looks more his level and he gets the vote.
