        Verdict

        The Jailer has more claims than most and gets the vote over Mykeyta, Genoa Star and Cape Latina. This is yet another poor contest in which most can be ruled out, and the form of The Jailer's second to Hits Only Life at Southwell could well be good enough to see him open his account at the seventh time of asking. That latest effort was only his second since September, and he should have enough scope to make his mark, especially in this grade. Mykeyta has a length to make up on the selection on latest running and has had more opportunities, while Genoa Star keeps staying on at the end of his races and will be suited by the step up in trip. Cape Latina hails from a stable in a little bit of form and could make his presence felt, but for the winner we return to The Jailer.
