Verdict

Bank On Benny gets the nod here, at the main expense of Magic Warrior and Luckylover. The selection has been raised 3lbs for his recent course and distance win, and appears to be improving. Originally campaigned over two miles, he has won over a mile and this trip and looks like one to keep on the right side of in the coming months. Luckylover was just a length behind the selection on his latest win, and this dual-performer looks on a fair mark today. He will probably return to hurdling after this, although he could be good enough for place money. Magic Warrior rates a danger based on his win here lat month, however this trip slightly stretches his stamina so for that reason he is passed over. As is Alisar who is returning from a long break and may need the run, and Brendan Powell's Lenonardo's Friend who was a fair sort on the continent, although money for him could prove significant. Overall though, Bank On Benny has ticks in all the right boxes so he gets the nomination.
