Verdict

Ashoka ran well from out of the handicap behind Theinval at Ayr and holds Vaniteux on that run. He’s only six and should have more to offer. Stable companion Work In Progress has won four of his last six starts but unseated his rider in the other two. Imperial Presence is only a pound higher than when scoring at Newbury the season before last and has been lightly campaigned since but Red Spinner might need this and Eastlake is in the veteran stage now. MAX WARD likes it here and ran well against Modus last time on unfavourable terms - he gets a tentative vote to go one better.
