Southwest Star gets the vote over Valhillen and Richard The Second, with Attribution another to consider. It is fair to say that Southwest Star has been highly tried of late, so it was no surprise to see him run well when dropped down to this level over seven-furlongs here a fortnight ago. Apart from the fact that he is dropped back in trip again, Stan Moore's juvenile has leading claims, and can open his account at the seventh time of asking. Valhillen appreciated the drop back to six-furlongs when just touched off at Wolverhampton last time, and it would be no surprise to see him figure in the finish. Richard The Second only lost out by a short-head in a Lingfield nursery the time before last, and so enters calculations along with Attribution, who has in the main been campaigned over five-furlongs, but is bred to appreciate the extra furlong. In truth, nothing stands out too much, but hopefully Southwest Star can go one better.
