In depth

Verdict

Not Now Lewis is in a rich vein of form and can complete a hat-trick here from Joy And Pain and Contented. The selection is upped 4lb for his latest c&d success, when he ran on strongly, and that extra few pounds should not make too much difference to this improver. Joy And Pain is in cracking form for Michael Attwater with three wins from his last four and only a 3lb rise for his last success, but 7f is definitely his optimum trip and his ability to last home against seasoned milers is far from certain. The same can be said of Contented, who is up 4lb for a 7f win here last time. Under Fire is a genuine miler who enjoyed a couple of c&d wins before going close in defeat last time and from this mark he could give the selection most to do. Imperium looks best of the rest and may make the frame, but preference is for Not Now Lewis.
