KIDLAT is preferred to the progressive pair Stand Guard and Dream Of Fortune. Kidlat has yet to win a race but has shaped well on a number of occasions and none more so than when a close second to a progressive rival over this trip at Lingfield on his latest start. This circuit could suit Brendan Powell's charge's style of running a little better and he's taken to open his account. He certainly doesn't face an easy task though as Dream Of Fortune and Stand Guard are two in-form rivals with respected claims as neither runner has shaped as though the handicapper has caught up with them yet. The handicapper knows all about Folio but he's won from higher marks than this in the past and gets on well with Chris Catlin so he, too, enters calculations but the answer is Kidlat.
