Verdict

CLUMBER PLACE is fancied to get the better of Miss Chamanda and Artistic Licence. She has presumably had her problems having been off the track for such a long time but there was a lot to like about her winning debut at Pontefract. Her trainer was certainly impressed, describing her as a class act and he'll be hoping that she can pick up some black type before the season's out. Miss Chamanda also ran out an impressive winner of her maiden last summer and connections are presumably hopeful of a bold display having acquired the services of Jamie Spencer. Aroundthebay may find this too tough and bigger challenges may come from Hallingdal and Artisitic Licence despite concerns that they are handicapped to the hilt. It's hard to believe that that is the case with the selection although she does have her fitness to prove but we'll take a chance on that and side with Clumber Place.
