    Verdict

The three to look out for in the opener are Telltime, Hereford Boy and New York Oscar with the vote going toi the last named. The selection ran with great credit on his debut when finishing second to Polly Jones when going down by a short head. If showing improvement he should be able to capitalize on the experience and win second time of asking this afternoon. Hereford Boy has been running well witjout winning this winter. His latest effort was a good one when second to Feeling Foxy over course and distance and to be fair to the horse he keeps improving with each run. We feel though that he may come up against some unexposed horses here and might have to settle place prize money once more. Telltime could be the dark horse coming from a well connected yard. He has his debut this afternoon and is bound to be ready to do himself justice so any market moves should be noted. But for the winner we return to New York Oscar.
