        Verdict

        SAINT PIERRE was in cracking form on this surface a year ago and has been plying his trade in higher company on turf this summer. He looks ready to regain the winning thread in this lower grade though recent C&D winner Trumpington Street looks a big threat as the handicapper only raised him 3lb for that easy success. Santefisio has won on the surface and has been gradually slipping down the weights, but Uppercut ran poorly at Newbury on Saturday after looking as though a first success wasn't far off in previous starts.
